This week you and your fellow Campaign Ambassadors showed the world what is possible when a community comes together in pursuit of a common goal. Thanks to your dedication and support, we enlisted more than 19,000 donors to our Join The Fight campaign and raised over $3 million for our Chai Lifeline families.
The funds you helped raise will allow Chai Lifeline to continue to meet the needs of our growing pediatric illness population. Each dollar raised will go toward providing unparalleled support to our families through a variety of services and programs, including: one-on-one family counseling; the summer experience of a lifetime for children with cancer and chronic illnesses at Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special; nourishing meals delivered to hospitals and homes; transportation to medical appointments; Project Chai crisis intervention, trauma and bereavement workshops for families, schools and communities; insurance advocacy; family retreats and respite; i-Shine afterschool national programming; and so much more.
Perhaps more importantly, this week you showed Chai Lifeline’s 5,800 children and families that they are not alone in their battle against childhood illness. Though the fight is ongoing, with your help it became just a little bit easier.
