Rabbi Tzvi Hersh Weinreb, former longtime executive vice-president of the Orthodox Union, is serving as interim rabbi at the Young Israel of Woodmere for the Yomim Tovim. A scholar, teacher, and orator, Rabbi Weinreb brings with him a distinct and refreshing approach in his presentations as well as creative insight that keeps audiences spellbound.
Between now and the end of the yomim tovim, Rabbi Weinreb will be sharing his approach to the Elul season with his congregation as well as the larger community.
Prior to Selichos on Motzoei Shabbos, September 12, Rabbi Weinreb will lecture on, “Teshuvah Means Change.” On Sunday, September 13, Rabbi Weinreb will be leading a tour of kivrei tzadikim in the New York area including chassidic rebbeim, roshei yeshiva, and rabbanim.
Throughout the coming month, the Young Israel will feature a host of fascinating and inspiring lectures by Rabbi Hershel Billet, Rabbi Weinreb, Rabbi Dr. Aaron Glatt, assistant to the rabbi, and Rabbi Eliahu Wolf, rabbinic associate. Hatzalacha Rabbi Weinreb.
Isn’t Rabbi Billet the Rabbi of Young Israel of Woodmere?
Hey, Baltimore wants him back! We didn’t want to let him go in the first place, so we get dibs, not those people in Woodmere!
looks at young Israel of woodmere website on the top of the page, Rabbi Billet is still the Rabbi and Rabbi Weinreb is the Interim Rabbi.
Rabbi Billet sure is the rabbi… Rabbi Weinreb filling in because the associate rabbi left to Los Angeles. Let’s get the facts straight…
