It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the sudden passing of Rabbi Yitzchok (Isaac) Fink z”l.

R’ Yitzchok devoted over fifty years to chinuch habonim, serving as an educator par excellence as the principal of Yeshivas Vien, Chasan Sofer and, most recently, General Studies Principal of the Yeshiva Ketanah Torah Vodaath. His tremendous kochos made an impact on the lives of thousands of talmidim throughout the years.

The levaya will take place tomorrow, Thursday, at 10:30 a.m. at Yeshiva Torah Vodaath, located at 425 East 9th Street in Kensington, Brooklyn.

R’ Yitzchok is survived by his wife, Mrs. Freida Fink, and his children, Mrs. Perel Zucker, Mrs. Malki Ochs, Mrs. Faigy Aberbach and Mrs. Ruchie Kleiner.

Yehi zichro boruch.

Over thirty years ago I was YTV elementary school.Only once did a classmate invite him to a Bar Mitzvah and ask him to speak. It was Parshas Bechokosay

    אִם־בְּחֻקֹּתַ֖י תֵּלֵ֑כוּ וְאֶת־מִצְוֹ תַ֣י תִּשְׁמְר֔וּ

He stressed תֵּלֵ֑כוּ and spoke about how wherever you are going and whatever you doing you should only do so should be going in the way of the Torah (from the word תֵּלֵ֑כוּ ֵּwhen you are going somewhere it should only be with Hashem’s Chukim… )

Many years have gone by. I went from a Talmid in YTV to other Yeshivos…Brisk ..Lakewood etc…to finding parnosah etc.. That vort has always remained with me.

May he have a Lichteger Gan Eden

  2. This is hard to believe. I just saw him when I went to pick up my son from the Yeshiva. He was such a professional. Yehi Zichro Baruch.
