Whether Israel builds new neighborhoods in east Jerusalem or withdraws from the Golan Heights is “none of our business,” said Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky tonight at the end of his visit to Israel.
Paul is concluding an eight-day visit to the Holy Land.
At least 40 evangelical Protestant leaders and noted frum philanthropist Dr. Rich Roberts of Lakewood, NJ, traveled with Mr. Paul.
“This trip to meet with Israelis, Arabs and Palestinians is absolutely the first step in his 2016 White House campaign,” said David Lane, evangelical political organizer and president of the Los Angeles-based Pastors and Pews.
Mr. Paul joined the pastors on a tour bus climbing its way to the Israeli side of the 9,000-foot Golan Heights.
“I came here to show that I am supportive of the relationship between Israel and America,” Paul said. “The biggest threat to our nation right now is our debt. This does mean that we have to reassess who to give aid to, and when we do reassess that, I would begin with countries that are burning our flag and chanting ‘Death to America.’ No one is accusing Israel of that.”
Paul remarked that he was “very disappointed” that after giving Egypt $60 billion in aid over the past three decades, rioters in Egypt climbed the roof of the embassy last year, took down the US flag and burned it. “That should never have happened and is inexcusable,” he said.

He conveniently did not voice that he also believes it’s none of America’s business whether the State of Israel keeps existing, or whether it’s replaced by “palestine” with ethnic cleansing, or worse, of Jewish citizens R”L.
Rand Paul is a dangerous isolationist. He would end US aid to Israel and would allow Arab armies to run all over it without lifting a finger.
