Randy Bryce, a Democrat who’s challenging House Speaker Paul Ryan (R) for his Wisconsin House Seat, called out President Trump on Saturday for more harshly criticizing athletes that protest the national anthem than the racist groups who incited violence in Charlottesville, Va. last month.

“Donald Trump condemns a Black man for non-violence more harshly than White supremacists for violence,” Bryce wrote on Twitter.

Bryce followed up that tweet by showering praise on those who “stand up for their beliefs” – an apparent reference to athletes, such as NFL free agent Colin Kaepernick, who gained notoriety last year for kneeling during the national anthem before football games.

“I am SO proud to see Americans stand up for their beliefs. That is literally why our country exists. Next step is to elect more of US,” he tweeted. Read more at The Hill.

  1. What does he mean by “elect more of us”? Are only white-trash liberals important in the political dialog? Isn’t electing more of “us” against what democracy is all about?

  2. insulting what represents a symbol of a country especially in front of 100’s of 1000’sds people and millions of viewers , also vast, vast majority dont agree(to insult the flag, anthem etc), is not standing up to what you believe in1. this is no comparison whatsoever

These racist athletes who disrespect our flag and our country should be fired.

The NFL practices SLAVERY. They buy and sell “people” and they own “people”. The difference is that the NFL pays its slaves a lot of money to shut up and be slaves.

  5. I suggest you all pull out a dictionary and check the definition of slavery. Being paid millions knowing the physical risks of the game is hardly called slavery. To what lengths will you go to defend the indefensible? The pres knows this is like BBQ for his base. In the meantime he continues to divide our country while using the media for his own selfish gains. It’s the worst manipulation. As someone said he’s Pavlov and we’re the dog. How sad.

  6. the country was always devided . anytime the left doent like something coming out of the ‘capitalist pi…’ you, they yell’……divide the country’
