Rav Amar: ‘Reform Judaism Brought Us To a Spiritual Low Point”

rabbi-shlomo-amarSephardi Chief Rabbi Rav Shlomo Amar expressed concern that Reform Jews are taking over Israel, in a letter he sent today, Israel Radio reported.

“Those who call themselves liberals and reformers and their friends and supporters” brought us to “our spiritual low point,” in which violence is rampant immodesty is acceptable, and assimilation is at a high, even in Israel.

“They now have their claws in the nation of Tzion, and are trying to impose the lifestyle of other nations on us. They established legions of warriors in the Land of Israel, whose purpose is to remove Torah from Israel.”

The chief rabbi added that every Jew must try to influence Knesset members and ministers, and pray for these “lost sons to return to the right path,” because they are “our brothers, our flesh and blood, even if they are our rivals.”

  1. the “movements” in America which are pushing themselves further into the domestic affairs of Israel massive money machines which manifest themselves in positions which protect their vested interests. The Jew, with his spark of divinity can easily see through this ploy of the yetzer hara if he so chooses. The constituents of these “movements” have themselves been incorporated. May it be Hashem’s will that the blinded eyes and unfeeling hearts of these Jews be speedily healed in the coming year. http://aprpeh.blogspot.com/2010/08/chief-rabbi-amar-speaks-on-conversion.html

  2. I seem to remember the article that talked about the Rav’s letter to the NY Times quoted reformers were 1% of Israel’s population. How are they taking over?

Better the rabbanut should acknowledge the Zionist origins and control of the state and decry this heretical movement which has done much more damage than the reformers. The Zionists have destroyed shuls and beaten Jews in EY, the reformers are just a heretical Jewish-like religion.
