Rav Aryeh Finkel: Arguing With Rav Shteinman Is Like Arguing With the Sanhedrin
Maran Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman, the centenarian gadol hador, has been traveling with great mesirus nefesh to be mechazeik the olam haTorah ahead of the upcoming Israel elections.
After visiting Rav Shmuel Auerbach in Yerushalayim to be mevaker choleh Monday evening, Rav Shteinman traveled to Modiin Illit for a kinnus for Degel Hatorah. Rav Shteinman was joined by Rav Aryeh Finkel, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Mir-Brachfeld; Rav Moshe Hillel Hirsch, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Slabodka of Bnei Brak; Rav Boruch Mordechai Ezrachi, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Ateres Yisroel, and others.
The kinnus was packed, drawing thousands to the Naos Hasimcha hall.
Rav Finkel spoke with great enthusiasm.
“Who is called an eved Hashem?” he asked. “One who does what he’s told. And who determines what to do? It is the one who establishes what is proper to do, and today it is Maran Rosh Yeshiva [Rav Shteinman]. The Chazon Ish said that anyone who disagrees with the Mishnah Berurah is like arguing with the Sanhedrin. That is, the leader of the generation has the power of the Sanhedrin. Today, Rav Aharon Leib is the one who is leading the nation of Klal Yisroel. Only he is the one to decide. Those who disagree with him are like disagreeing with the Sanhedrin. I do not want to say what is said [regarding those who have the temerity to disagree with the Sanhedrin], even he is old…and even if he is a talmid chochom.”
Rav Ezrachi, in his remarks, echoed Rav Finkel, stating, “This is not a chiddush at all. Is there anyone who feels otherwise? The rosh yeshiva [Rav Shteinman] is the manhig. He is the koveia!”
The Israeli chareidi dailies on Tuesday will be publishing a kol koreh from gedolim and admorim urging the chareidi sector to vote unanimously for Gimmel-Degel Hatorah at this crucial time.

YOU CAN FIND MANY PISKEI HALOCHOS IN CHAZON ISH WHERE HE DISAGREES WITH THE MISHNA BRURAH.

Where did the CI say that?Are there no issues of Halacha that a machlokes the CI and MB?
