Rav Avrohom Ausband to Address “Mesoras Yisroel” in Riverdale

rav-avrohom-ausband-This afternoon, Yeshiva of the Telshe Alumni of Riverdale is hosting an “Afternoon of Torah and Introspection.” The event will feature remarks by the rosh yeshiva, Rav Avrohom Ausband, who will speak about “Mesoras Yisroel vs. catering to Modern Fashions.”

According to one source who spoke with Matzav.com, the rosh yeshiva is expected to address, amongst other things, the recent attempts by a local rabbi to ordain women and give them various rabbinic titles.

The gathering will take place at the Yeshiva of the Telshe Alumni Bais Medrash Building, located at 4904 Independence Avenue in Riverdale.

The program will begin at 2:30 p.m., followed by Minchah at 3:45 p.m. Parking will be available at 249th Street and Independence Avenue.

Rav Ausband, a fifth generation Telsher, is a son of Rav Eizik Ausband, rosh yeshiva in Telshe Cleveland, may he have a refuah sheleimah, and a son-in-law of Rav Binyamin Zeilberger zt”l, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Bais Hatalmud in Bensonhurst.
