Rav Avrohom Chaim Levin, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Telshe in Chicago, Illinois, has been discharged from the hospital after being hospitalized last Erev Shabbos.
Rav Levin had been attending the Torah Umesorah/ATT Midwest Regional Chinuch Conference at the Doubletree Hilton in Mundelein, Illinois, when he began wheezing and experiencing trouble breathing. Hatzolah paramedics examined Rav Levin and he was taken to the hospital, where he was sedated and placed on antibiotics. The rosh yeshiva suffered from a serious lung infection.
Rav Levin was then taken off the sedation but was still connected to a respirator to help him breathe as doctors noted a slight improvement in his condition. On Sunday, with Klal Yisroel‘s tefillos clearly helping the rosh yeshiva, his condition has improved further and he was taken off the ventilator.
Boruch Hashem, he has now been deemed well enough and was discharged from the hospital and will convalesce at home as he tries to regain his strength.
