Rav Chaim Kanievsky Instructs Those Who Saw The Ruined Sifrei Torah At The Siach Yisroel Shul To Fast

In light of the shocking desecration in Kiryat Yoval this morning, rabbonim from Kiryat Yovel went to Bnei Brak to consult with Rav Chaim Kanievsky on how to respond to the tragic destruction of an aron kodesh and sifrei Torah.

Rav Chaim instructed the local rabbonim in Kiryat Yovel to hold an atzeres to be mechazek the neighborhood and to be moche  the terrible event.

Rav Chaim also instructed those that witnessed the disgraceful scene to take upon themselves to fast as an atonement.
