rav-chaim-kanievskyWhile neighboring Tel Aviv is being targeted by Gaza’s terror organizations, Maran Rav Chaim Kanievsky has issued a calming message to the residents of Bnei Brak, stating that the city will not be hit by rockets.

Rav Chaim’s statement was published as a letter on the front page of the Israeli Yated Ne’eman daily.

“There is nothing to be afraid of,” said Rav Chaim.

Rav Chaim had previously advised a talmid from a yeshiva in southern Israel to remain in Bnei Brak.

Interestingly, during the first Gulf War, missiles hit all the cities surrounding Bnei Brak, but not a single missile landed inside Bnei Brak.

  1. I once heard from a distinguished talmid chochom who learned in Kollel Chazon Ish for many years that the CHazon Ish ztl said that as long as there are no movie theaters in Bnei Brak, there will be no bombs in Bnei Brak. Let us daven that all acheinu bais Yisroel should have the same protection and stay safe and well.

  2. To commenter #2 – Maybe you should ask Reb Chaim. No use asking your question here… Maybe it’s because there are things that happen in Yerushalayim that are not perfect. Vhameivin Yovin.
