Rav Chaim Shlomo Leibowitz in Critical Condition

The condition of Rav Chaim Shlomo Leibowitz, rosh yeshiva of Ponovezh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak, has deteriorated and he is in critical condition.

The rosh yeshiva remains at the intensive care unit at Sheba hospital in Tel Hashomer.

Yesterday, a CAT scan revealed an intestinal obstruction. The rosh yeshiva is also battling an infection and low blood pressure, and doctors describe his condition as severe.

Various atzeres tefillah gatherings have been held at the Ponovezh Yeshiva, where there is great concern about the rosh yeshiva’s condition.

All are asked to continue davening for Rav Chaim Shlomo ben Tzaita Leah.
