Family members of Maran Rav Chaim Yisroel Belsky, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Torah Vodaas in Kensington, Brooklyn, tell Matzav.com that the rosh yeshiva is in stable but critical condition and desperately in need of rachamei Shomayim.

Overnight, Rav Belsky was tarnsfered to a different hospital and it is hoped that, despite the situation being very serious, improvement will be seen.

All are asked to daven fervently for Rav Chaim Yisroel ben Chana Tzirel l’refuah shelaimah b’soch she’ar cholei amo Yisroel.

A tefillah gathering at the Kosel took place at 10 a.m. this morning as a zechus for the rosh yeshiva. Another such gathering is slated to be held Motzoei Shabbos at the Kosel.

  1. The Rosh Hayeshiva needs our Tefillos. I pent a few summers in the great Masmidim program at Camp Agudah, and each one of us felt a closeness to Hagaon R Belsky. He was so devoted to us, spending time learning with anyone who wanted a small seder with him, taking us on walks and showing us the stars and their names, and went along with us on our trips. He is someone who takes a stand on important issues, and knows daled chelkei Shulchan Aruch on his fingertips. Raboisai, please daven for a reuah shlaimah. Good Shabbos.
