The Sephardic Torah world is rejoicing upon learning that a kinnus hisorerus next week in Petach Tikva will feature the participation of both Rav Shalom Cohen, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivat Porat Yosef and nosi of the Moetzet Chachmei Hatorah of Shas, and Rav Shlomo Amar, Sefardic chief rabbi of Yerushalayim.
This unity asifa next Wednesday, the first of its kind, is being arranged by noted askan Eyal Moshiach.
The joining of Rav Cohen and Rav Amar at the event is seen as a significant demonstration of unity and peace within the Sefardic Torah community.
