The condition of Maran Rav Yosef Shalom Elyashiv has turned critical, as doctors at Shaarei Tzedek Medical
Center say they are immensely concerned about the condition of the posek hador. Close family members of Rav Elyashiv have gathered over night in the hospital in Yerushalayim and are saying Tehillim.
Recent reports in some segments of the chareidi media have indicated a noticeable improvement in Rav Elyashiv’s condition, but the reports, it turns out, were partially false and partially exaggerated. Rav Elyashiv had seen improvement over the previous weeks, but he was, and is, still in need of continued tefillos.
With the latest news of a serious deterioration in his condition, the Olam HaTorah globally is being urged to engage in tefillah and limud haTorah as a zechus for the gadol hador.
