rabbi-eytan-feinerLakewood, NJ – Rav Eytan Feiner, the rov of the White Shul, Congregation Knesseth Israel, of Far Rockaway, will deliver opening remarks at Beth Medrash Govoha’s Annual http://matzav.com/wp-includes/js/tinymce/plugins/wordpress/img/trans.gifEvening of Chizuk on June 20, Matzav.com has learned.

Rav Eytan, as is well known, has a phenomenal, almost photographic, memory and a rare breadth of knowledge. He can quote at will, citing exact page numbers, from many thousands of obscure Torah sources.

Rav Feiner and his wife, Rebbetzin Aviva, did not conceive a child for many years. After twelve and a half years, a baby boy was born, but it was not even a half hour later when the Feiners heard the most devastating news that their son’s breathing was not right. Something was wrong with the baby. There was some sort of amino acid deficiency in the little boy’s body, and in all of recorded medical history, there is no instance of any human ever having had this condition.

Rav Feiner famously said, “We have never loved Hashem as much as right now. We are not angry at all. And we know that He loves us so much as well.”

The little boy did something for Klal Yisroel, as Yidden from Yerushalayim to St. Louis to Los Angeles and around the world davened for Tinok ben Aviva bas Chana. From one side of the spectrum to the other, Jews united.

Rav Feiner stood at Aish Hatorah, where he was a rebbi at the time, little more than a week after his son was born, and spoke. He thanked Hashem for everything and expressed his pure love and appreciation for his Father in Heaven. He spoke of how life is about being an eved Hashem.

Rav Feiner, in emails and online, kept the tens of thousands of Yidden who were davening for his son updated on his son’s progress and the doctors’ prognoses.

Ultimately, in July of 2008, the little boy was zoche to have a bris in Yerushalayim and was named Avraham Yeshayahu after the Chazon Ish.

Rav Feiner and his wife moved to the United States and Rav Feiner quickly emerged as one of the brightest young congregational rabbonim in the country, having an astonishing impact on the Five Towns and Far Rockaway areas after taking the position of rov at The White Shul.

Rav Feiner and his rebbetzin made a mahapeicha, a turn-around of remarkable proportions, at The White Shul.

Rav Feiner also became the summer rov at Chai Lifeline’s Camp Simcha, while Rebbetzin Aviva opened Machon Basya Rochel, a popular seminary.

Rav Feiner’s genius and acumen are unparalleled. He weaves together the deepest aspects of Jewish philosophy, Shas and poskim, and even contemporary popular thought and psychology in a seamless continuum of Torah and halacha, giving his listeners a thrilling glimpse of the Ribbono Shel Olam’s Divine fabric of history and mystery. It is not unusual for first-time attendees to leave shaking their heads in awe at the rov‘s incredible command of his subject – all without a single note, a hallmark of every drasha or shiur he gives.

Rav Borenstein to Serve as Guest Speaker

As reported previously on Matzav.com, Rav Shmuel Yaakov Borenstein, renowned rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Kiryas Melech in Bnei Brak, will be the featured guest speaker at the upcoming BMG event.

Rav Borenstein, who is known for his brilliance in Torah and comprehensive shiurim, served as a R”M at Yeshiva Nachlas Dovid in Petach Tikvah and then as a rosh yeshiva at Yeshiva Chevron Geulah. He presently serves as rosh yeshiva at Yeshiva Kiryas Melech in Bnei Brak.

The upcoming Beth Medrash Govoah Annual Evening of Chizuk, to take place at the corner of Cedar Bridge and New Hampshire Avenues in Lakewood, will celebrate the achievements of the 6,500 talmidim of the yeshiva and will raise funds that are allocated specifically for the 2,500 avreichem who are on the yeshiva‘s kollel payroll.
