Rav Gershon Edelstein Hospitalized But Doing Well

Rav Gershon Edelstein, rosh yeshiva at Yeshivas Ponovezh in Bnei Brak, has been hospitalized after his blood pressure rose alarmingly and he felt unwell. He was transported from his home at 19 Rechov Raavad in Bnei Brak to the Sheba-Tel Hashomer Medical Center.

Rav Edelstein had just returned from the levaya of Rav Yosef Aryeh Halperin zt”l when he told his family members that he was not feeling well. Hatzolah Gush Dan and Ichud Hatzolah personnel were summoned to his home and took him to the emergency room in Tel Hashomer.

Boruch Hashem, Rav Edelstein seems to be doing well and might return home tonight.

All are asked to daven for Rav Yerachmiel Gershon ben Miriam.

Interestingly, Rav Edelstein told the Hatzolah volunteers who took him to the hospital that he has rarely, if ever, been in the hospital, as he has generally been healthy, boruch Hashem.
