Meshulam TwerskyYeshivas Toras Moshe, at the start of this zeman, introduced Rav Meshulam Twersky as a maggid shiur at the yeshiva in Yerushalayim.

Rav Meshulam is the oldest son of Hagaon Hakadosh Rav Moshe Twersky zt”l Hy”d, one of the four kedoshim killed al kiddush Hashem seven months ago in the Har Nof massacre at Kehillas Bnei Torah on 25 Cheshvan.

Rav Twersky zt”l, who was known as a phenomenal genius of Torah scholarship and instruction, was first hired by Rav Moshe Meiselman, founder and rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Toras Moshe, for his first position at the yeshiva as the afternoon maggid shiur for the third-year bochurim over twenty-two years ago.

It is precisely that position that Rav Twersky’s son, Rav Meshulam, has now assumed, serving as a tremendous source of nechamah both to the yeshiva and the Twersky family.

Rav Meshulam learned at the yeshivos of Kol Torah and Brisk, but he is essentially a talmid of his illustrious father, having spent many hours learning with him on a regular basis.

The talmidim of the yeshiva were already familiar with Rav Meshulam, as he addressed the yeshiva melava malka held earlier this year l’illui nishmas his father and delivered a captivating shiur on the night of the Purim kollel in which he built upon one of his father’s chiddushim. He also spoke at this year’s Chanukah mesibah and Purim seudah hosted by his mother, Rebbetzin Bashie Twersky, for the bochurim in his father’s shiur.

Talmidim are eager to report that they greatly enjoy Rav Meshulam’s style of explaining the sugyos of the Gemara, feeling that it is very similar to that of his great father, Rav Twersky zt”l.
