A large crowd gathered today for the levaya of Rav Mordechai Menachem Weissfish zt”l, one of the well-known figures of Kollel Chazon Ish in Bnei Brak and one of the elder mispallelim of the Lederman Bais Medrash.
Rav Mordechai Menachem was a son of Rav Shlomo Zalman Weisfish and hailed from a family of gedolei Torah v’yirah. He spent the bulk of his years engrossed in learning, humbly sitting between the hallowed walls of the famed Kollel Chazon Ish.
Rav Mordechai Menachem’s middos tovos were lessons to all bnei Torah who observed him, and he was constantly concerned about the plights of others, carrying himself humbly and unassumingly.
The levaya began today at his home at 3 Rechov Devorah Haneviah, with the participation of Rav Chaim Kanievsky, Rav Nissim Karelitz and other gedolei Bnei Brak. Kevurah took place at the Vizhnitzer Bais Hachaim.
