Due to the increasing economic distress, the head of the Ateres Shlomo kollelim, which has about 1,800 avreichim in its network, has launched a website to generate funds. Rav Shalom Ber Sorotzkin, who heads the network, is responsible for fundraising, after taking on the job a few years ago and being considered a wizard at raising funds.
In the past, Rav Sorotzkin has enjoyed the unconditional support of Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman in his directing of the network.
After brainstorming, Rav Sorotzkin came to the conclusion that expanding the circle of donors is necessary and that the best option would be to reach out to people online. Ateres Shlomo has unveiled its website, which allows people to contribute to the network.
The new site allows donors to obtain ‘zechusim’ for the learning of the 1,800 yungeleit. For example, anyone who contributes $180 will receive a tefillah of bracha and hatzlacha from all the avreichim.

Who is his father? Shalom Ber sounds Chabad.
He’s R’ Boruch Sorotzkin’s grandson. His father is R’ Binyomin Sorotzkin.

He does look Like R’ Binyomin and also like his uncle R’ Eli.But who was he name after? I don’t think Shalom Ber is a Telzer name.

Looks like the site is down.
I know the Rav personally, he is an adam gadol and makes no move without speaking to the gadolim. He is also R’ Boruch’s grandson.

Amazing opportunity. Torah supports the world, it would make sense that the prayers said by those committed to learning it,would have some kind of merit or strength due to the Torah it’s connected to..
Thank you for the opportunity! May all of our prayers be answered!
Amazing! 1800 Talmidey Chachamim praying simultaneously. I think this is an historical event. The Co’ach HaTorah together with Co’ach HaTfila – that’s what you call a powerful force.
Just met him at the Chabad in Niagara Falls. Great Shabbat with Nuk Wallenda.
