Rav Shmuel Auerbach, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Maalos Hatorah and son of Rav Shlomo Zalman Auerbach zt”l, has returned home after being hospitalized last week at
Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in southwest Yerushalayim.
Rav Auerbach had been taken to the hospital last Monday afternoon afternoon after his temperature rose. Following a series of tests, it was determined that Rav Auerbach had pneumonia.
Rav Auerbach remained in the hospital for Shavuos and Shabbos Parshas Behaaloscha. A minyan was formed in the hospital for Rav Auerbach, who was able to hear Megillas Rus lained from a klaf and participated in the various tefillos.
He will remain on a closely-monitored schedule as he convalesces at home in the Shaarei Chesed neighborhood of Yerushalayim.
