Rav Shteinman: Even Yair Lapid Can Do Teshuvah

On Rosh Hashanah morning, during davening at Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman’s home on Rechov Chazon Ish in Bnei Brak, Rav Shteinman made a mi shebeirach for donors and supporters of various institutions of Torah and chesed, adding, “even those in Australia.”

He explained, “Should those in Austrialia not be blessed? And we should not exclude reshaim either from the brachah, as they will do teshuvah.”

When asked who he meant by “reshaim,” Rav Shteinman indicated that even someone like Yair Lapid and his colleagues can repent.
