Rav Shteinman is Mevaker Choleh Rav Shmuel Auerbach

Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Orchos Torah, traveled from Bnei Brak today to visit Rav Shmuel Auerbach, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Maalos Hatorah, at his home in the Shaarei Chessed section of Yerushalayim.

Rav Auerbach is convalescing at his home after undergoing a complex catheterization at Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center, as first reported by Matzav.com Israel.

Rav Shteinman arrived at the home of Rav Auerbach shortly after 7:30 p.m., accompanied by his gabbaim.

The visit lasted a few minutes. The two gedolim spoke words of Torah and Rav Shteinman inquired about the health of Rav Auerbach.

In attendance at the meeting were those who came in Rav Shteinman’s car, including his grandson Rav Dovid Shapiro, Yehudah Wetzler, Koby Rosenstein, and his driver, R’ Itche Rosengarten.

As Rav Shteinman departed, Rav Auerbach apologized that he could accompany him to the door, as the cold climate is not good for him in his state.

Rav Shteinman then proceeded to the Renaissance Hotel to address members of a group of baalei batim who have traveled from the United States to participate in a Yarchei Kallah program arranged by Agudas Yisroel of America. The baalei batim were to also be addressed by Rav Yitzchok Scheiner, Rav Moshe Hillel Hirsch, and others.

Rav Shteinman was scheduled to then go to Modi’in Illit for a kinnus there for Degel Hatorah ahead of the upcoming elections.
