It is with great sadness that we report the passing this morning of Rav Simcha Shlomo Levine zt”l at the age of 88.
Rav Levine was born in Yerushalayim on 5 Elul 5686 to his father, Rav Aryeh Levine zt”l, and his mother, Rebbetzin Chana a”h.
Thousands sought him out, as Rav Levine dispensed chizuk, advice and brachos to whoever crossed the threshold of his home.
Rav Levine was known as one of the tzaddikim of Yerushalayim and was zocheh to great siyata dishmaya in helping people and guiding them. He gave brachos that came to fruition and was viewed as an ish kadosh who lived b’kedushah v’taharah.
Stories abound of cases where Rav Simcha Shlomo helped people with brachos in all aspects of life.
Rav Levin’s wife passed away a year and a half ago. He was also predeceased by his son-in-law, Rav Chanoch Henoch Karelenstein zt”l.
The levaya will take place at noon at 12 Rechov Elkana in Yerushalayim.
