It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Rav Velvel Eisenbach zt”l, one of the ziknei Yerushalayim, who was niftar on the second day of Rosh Hashanah at the age of 102.
Rav Eisenbach was a fixture at the Kosel Hamaarovi for decades, and famously participated in the vosikin minyan there for years. Rav Eisenbach lived modestly throughout his life, immersing himself in Torah and avodah with remarkable purity and dedication.
Rav Eisenbach was well-known to have been learning Daf Yomi since its very establishment by Rav Meir Schapiro of Lublin during the early part of the last century.
A small levaya was held on the second day of Rosh Hashanah following the petirah.
Rav Eisenbach, who was predeceased by five of his sons, leaves behind over 1,200 descendants.
Kevurah took place on Har Hamenuchos.
Yehi zichro boruch.
