It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Rav Yaakov Leib Breski zt”l of Boro Park, Brooklyn. Rav Yankel was one of the last of the Alter Mirrers, those who were in the Mirrer Yeshiva in Poland and travelled to China where they remained throughout World War II. Rav Yankel also learned in Baranovitch, in Yeshiva Ohel Moshe, led by Rav Elchonon Wasserman zt”l.
The levaya will take place this afternoon, at 1:30, at Shomrei Hachomos Chapels, located at 4208 Ft. Hamilton Parkway in Boro Park, Brooklyn. The niftar will then be flown via El Al to Eretz Yisroel for kevurah.
