Rav Yaakov Yosef, the eldest son of Chacham Ovadiah Yosef, head of the Moetzet Chachmei Hatorah of Shas, has in recent months been suffering from a malignant disease and is in need of rachamei Shomayim.
The disease has struck the pancreas of Rav Yaakov, who will need prolonged medical treatment.
The family consulted with a number of mekubalim regarding adding a name as a segulah for a refuah sheleimah. This week, Rav Benayahu Shmueli, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Hamekubalim Nahar Shalom, added the name Chai.
Rav Yaakov, who is 66, serves as rov of the Boruchov shul in the Bucharim section of Yerushalayim. He delivers numerous shiurim each week and is renowned for his yedios haTorah and the wise advice he dispenses to the many who seek his counsel.
Rav Yaakov, despite his ailments, is continuing his regular busy schedule of shiurim and drashos.
We are told that his illustrious father, Chacham Ovadiah, first learned of the besurah of his son’s illness this week.
All are asked to daven for a refuah sheleimah for Rav Yaakov Chai ben Margalit.

May he have a Refuah Sheleima bekorov!
Refuah Shelayma.
Shouldn’t we use the name Yaakov Yosef Chai ben Margalit to daven for him?
Yosef is the surname
Refua shleima. To mg: I believe Yosef is their family name and should not be used.
To #3:
Reb Yaakov’s last name is Yosef and therefore we are asked to daven for Yaakov Chai ben Margalit and not Yaakov Yosef Chai ben Margalit.
Wishing a speedy Refuah Shleimah to HaRav Yaakov Chai ben Margalit
