rav-yitzchok-tuvia-weissRav Yitzchok Tuvia Weiss, the Gaon Av Bais Din of the Eidah Hachareidis in Yerushalayim, was hospitalized today after feeling unwell. The Gaavad was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital, which immediately brought about reaction from various circles, because Hadassah is embroiled in the affair of the Meah Shearim mother who was accused of allegedly starving her child. The hospital, it is believed by many, has attempted to hide information surrounding the health and care of the child.

Rav Weiss underwent a series of examinations at the hospital and was released shortly afterwards.

Rav Shmuel Chaim Pappenheim, longtime spokesman the Eidah, said that the hospitalization of the Gaavad makes it clear that no official chareidi figure has boycotted the hospital despite what some in the secular press wish to claim and that any such boycott is being carried out at the behest of private individuals only.

“We definitely have claims and demands from Hadassah following the affair of the mother from Meah Shearim, but a boycott? That’s completely out of the question,” Rav

Pappenheim told Yediot Achronot. He did stress, however, that the Hadassah hospitalization did not constitute a clear saying to the other direction, and that Rav Weiss was only hospitalized there because the doctor treating him works at the medical center.

  1. Apologizing for going to a good hospital , what is the sin ? The sin is the malshinus and the loshon horoh against the doctors who treat the sick of all nationalities, even our enemies, with care and humanity. Shame on those who lie about Hadassah.

  2. AM HAARETZ, Lashon Hora is when its true-and maybe be abit Dan Lkaf Zechus- imagine if maimonidies or another hosp. would make up a lie that your neighbor was starving her kid and throw her in jail with an arab lady who murderd her husband.

  3. #2 Pack. Haven’t you guys anything better to think about? You are continuing to spread lies. Anyone who has experienced Hadassah knows that rubbish is spoken about the doctors and the hospital. Shame on all who spread lies.
