rav-zalman-malinowitz[Levaya call-in info below.] It is with great sadness that we report the sudden passing of Rav Zalman Malinowitz zt”l. Rav Zalman, who resided in Lakewood, NJ, was a beloved rebbi in Yeshiva Darchei Torah in Far Rockaway, NY.

Rav Zalman passed away after sustaining a heart attack at his home. He was just 58 years old.

Rav Zalman is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rina Malinowitz (nee Murik), principal of Bnos Bracha Girls School in Lakewood, as well as children, grandchildren and extended family.

Rav Zalman was a respected talmid chochom and a beloved mechanech, who impacted numerous talmidim during his years as a rebbi. His passing has left his many students, friends, and admirers in shock.

The levaya will take place at the Bais Medrash Govoha Yoshon (Bendheim) Bais Medrash at 7 p.m. The levaya will continue at Yeshiva Darchei Torah in Far Rockaway at 11:30 p.m. The aron will then be flown to Eretz Yisroel for kevurah there.

    WHAT A TERRIBLE TRAGEDY AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE

    Wish we could have avoided this tragedy from occurring and shocking us by doing teshuva.

  2. he survived cancer a few years back and would come in to give shiur even during chemotherapy – a real talmud chochom and adam gadol, an anav and many more things – he will be missed by his many talmidim

  5. Wow how sad! I was in your shiur 10 years ago and it was an amazing shiur. I still remember the peshatim that we were learing at the time. We were learing Ketzad Ha’regel. Your shiurim were always clear crisp and just so nice to listen to. I am in shock and my heart is bleeding. You will be sorely missed by all your talmidim.
