Dear [email protected],
I would like to let the oilam know of a critical, time-sensitive issue that may impact many of our mosdos and tzedaka organizations.
The IRS requires certain tax-exempt organizations (as described here) to file Form 990s for the last three tax years (2007-2009) by October 15, or else risk losing their tax-exempt status.
The IRS has also published a list of noncompliant organizations, which include many choshuve organzations in our communities.
Please publicize this message so the various organziations can file their 990s ASAP and avoid losing their tax-exempt status.
Thank you and ah gutten moed.

Is it mutter to write on Choil Hamoid for this?

thank you very much, concerned. you did a big toivah to many. may hashem bless you with success in all of your endeavors.
I think that synagogues are not obligated to file 990s. If a mosod is organized as a shul or is organized as part of a shul, it does not need to file.
