Reb Gavriel Sassoon Informs His Daughter of the Fate of Her 7 Siblings

Brooklyn, NY – It has been a challenging Pesach for Reb Gavriel Sassoon, who is mourning – along with the rest of the Jewish nation – his seven precious children who perished in a devastating house fire three weeks ago.

Reb Gavriel’s wife, Gayle, and daughter, Tziporah, remain hospitalized, but, boruch Hashem, 15-year-old Tziporah is out of her coma. Reb Gavriel visited her on Chol Hamoed and, with tears and a broken heart, revealed to his daughter what occurred to her seven siblings.

Gayle, 45, remains at Jacobi Medical Center.

The Sassoon children, ages 5 to 16, passed away in a March 21 blaze that consumed their Midwood home.

All are asked to continue davening for Gila bas Frances and Tziporah bas Gila.
