Reb Moshe Binyomin Ostreicher z”l

candle-small6It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Reb Moshe Binyomin Ostreicher z”l of  Rego Park, Queens, at the age of 100. Reb Moshe Binyomin was a Munkatcher chossid from the “alter heim” whose family was from the most respected mishpachos in Munkatch and served as roshei kehillah there.

When the Munkatcher chassidus began to take root in the United State, Reb Moshe Binyomin took an active role in helping finance and establish the kehillah and he stood at the side of the Munkatcher Rebbe, providing assistance in all endeavors. His devotion was truly remarkable.

The aron kodesh of the Munkatcher Bais Medrash in Boro Park, Brooklyn, was dedicated by Reb Moshe Binyomin in memory of his parents.

The levaya will be held today, Sunday, in front of the Munkatcher Bais Medrash, located at 4706 14th Avenue in Boro Park, Brooklyn, at 2:30 p.m.

Kevurah will take place at the Munkatcher bais hakevaros in Deans, N.J.
