Yesterday was the 58th birthday of our good friend, Reb Sholom Mordechai ben Rivkah Rubashkin. Yesterday, 28 Tishrei, was also the wedding anniversary of Reb Sholom Mordechai and his wife, Leah.

We pray, with the rest of Klal Yisroel, that Reb Sholom Mordechai’s yeshuah will come bekarov.

Reb Sholom Mordechai is fighting a 27-year prison sentence for bank fraud and money laundering charges.

Please daven for his case. The efforts to get justice continue in full force and your tefillos are still very much needed.

All are asked to keep davening for Reb Sholom Mordechai ben Rivka.

In honor of Sholom Mordechai’s birthday, please take on a new resolution to add a mitzvah. If you make a resolution in honor of Sholom’s birthday, please share it with him by emailing [email protected].

A MESSAGE FROM SHOLOM RUBASHKIN’S DAUGHTER:
It’s the end of Tishrei and the weather is stunning. Perfect weather for a family day. my most precious childhood memories are family trips together. Nowhere too fancy or extravagant. the local dairy farm, park Mississippi River were favorites. The excitement was being together. Now that it’s nonexistent it has become even more precious. Especially yesterday, on our father, Sholom Mordecai halevi ben Rivka’s birthday – 28 Tishrei.
Well, I guess it’s not totally nonexistent. about a month ago we did have a family trip together. Except never in my wildest dreams would I think of such a destination. Instead of going with my father we went to my father in Otisville medium security prison. It was family day. A day when all your children are permitted to visit. I was quite emotional driving there as childhood memories and thoughts raced through my mind and I thought of my younger siblings robbed of their childhood. We had problems getting in to the visiting room and once we were finally in it was a long delay until my father was let in. Watching all the other wives and children spending time together and thinking of the challenges they are going through was quite sad. It was then that Hashem put an idea in my mind. We quickly had all the children make “signs” on copy paper welcoming my father. We stood by the door and held him up every time it would open. Just like you would see in the airport. My father finally did come through that door. Tears flowed from his eyes as he laughed and hugged each kid. All I could think of was imagine when he really walks through those Prison gates.
Just then he voice my thoughts. “This is just a small taste of what will be!” His bitachon so strong you’d think he’s coming home with us.
Yesterday, Chof Ches Tishrei, was my father’s birthday. Seven years ago we “celebrated” his 50th during that dreaded trial. On a birthday one’s mazal is gover. Please do all you can today to reunite our family! Please do all you can to make that dream come true.
Please make a hachlata (positive resolution) in his merit and share it with [email protected]
Please say his capital today (and every day) – Kappitel 58:

  1. Enough with this defense fund. Let’s get Jared to get trump to pardon. I heard that they fosited the Lubavitcher’s lever before election and promised to get him pardoned of elected.
