R. Simcha z”l was from Ostrov (Mazowieck) Poland.

He was a Kletzker talmid, having learned in the Kletzk Yeshiva under Rav Aharon Kotler.

During World War II, he ended up together with the Mirrer Yeshiva in Shanghai.

He davened for many years at the Mirrer minyan in Borough Park. In recent years, he had some health challenges, and more recently, when it was harder for him to get around, he had been spending time in Passaic, NJ.

He was one of the last links to the great Torah world of pre-war Europe.

R’ Simcha is survived by his children, R’ Heshy Nadborny, R’ Chaim Nadborny, Mrs. Leah Pekier and Mrs. Perel Katzenstein.

The family is sitting shivah until Friday afternoon at 1645 52nd Street, between 16th and 17th Avenues in Boro Park, Brooklyn.
