Rebbetzin Chana Yuta Wosner a”h

It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Rebbetzin Chana Yuta Wosner a”h. She was 96 years old.

Rebbetzin Wosner was the wife of Rav Shmuel Halevi Wosner zt”l, noted posek, author of Shevet Halevi, and rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Chachmei Lublin in Bnei Brak.

The rebbetzin was a daughter of Rav Aharon Dovid and Shaindel Kohn.

The Rebbetzin was first married to Rav Dovid Freund of Sasreigen and Rav Yitzchok Shmaryahu Deutsch, rov of Chug Chasam Sofer in Petach Tikvah, before marrying Rav Wosner in 2003. Rav Wosner’s first wife, Rebbetzin Rivka a”h, had passed away about eight years prior.

The levayah was held earlier tonight, Motzoei Shabbos, first in Bnei Brak and then in Yerushalayim, followed by kevurah on Har Hazeisim.

The rebbetzin had one child from her first marriage, her daughter, Rebbetzin Shaindel Lemberger, wife of Rav Menachem Mendel Lemberger zt”l, Makover Rov of Yerushalayim.
