Rebbetzin Devorah Druckman, mother of Kiryat Motzkin Chief Rabbi Dovid Meir Druckman, has passed away.
The elderly rebbetzin was the last living grandchild of Rabbi Baruch Mandelbaum, the rov of Turov-Stolin in Russia. On his way to live in Eretz Yisroel, he persuaded Baron de Rothschild fund the construction of 50 housing units in Yerushalayim’s Old City, near the the Kosel, today called Botei Machsa.
Rabbi Mandelbaum was also was the maternal great-grandfather of Rav Simcha Hakohen Kook, the rov of the Churva Shul and the chief rabbi of Rechovot.
The levaya of Rebbetzin Druckman was held tonight on Rechov Shamgar.
