  1. Her siblings in America, Reb Matis Pincus, Mrs. Surkey Rabinowitz, Mrs. Estie Tendler, Mrs. Elkie Braun, Mrs. Chaya Swerdloff are sitting shiva in Flatbush at 877 E. 23rd St.

  2. As a former talmid of Yeshivah Torah Vodaas, this is devastating news. The rosh yeshiva shlita is from the greatest talmidei chachamim that we have today. As a rosh yeshiva who does not look for fanfare or kavod, he gives of himself to the talmidei hayeshiva. I always enjoyed the Shavuos seudah, where the Rosh Yeshiva would talk to us about anything.

I spoke to a yungerman in the yeshiva today, who told me that the Rosh Yeshiva was called on Monday morning to fly back home immediately due to the precarious matzav. I was told that he made it back in time for the last few moments of the rebbetzins life. Many talmidim are flying to Eretz Yisroel to be with their rebbi in this time of need.

    Hamakom Yanachem….

  3. What a loss. She was a partner in the Rosh Yeshivas learning, as she took care of the home while he sat and learned day and night. As an aside, the previous rosh, Harav Reuvain Fine, Also lived in Eretz Yisroel while serving as Rosh Yeshiva in Torah vodaas.

  4. Nebach. She was suffering for a while with cancer. Her mesiros nefesh for Torah was unreal, as she and her husband moved to Eretz Yisroel in the 1960’s, at a time when it was not the norm to learn in Kollel. Her husband, the Rosh Yeshiva, is starting to become well known throughout the Torah world. I heard him give a shiur in Lakewood last year that was off the charts. His clarity in all of shas was realized by the many who packed in to hear the shiur. I then had the privilege of meeting him in person. He greeted me with such a smile. We first cracked a few jokes, but then he proceeded to explain a Rambam to me that was his own pshat and interpretation of the Rambam. T’hei Nismasah Tzrurah.
