Two years ago, an Israeli court invalidated the tender of 3,400 chareidi families who had won the right to build apartments in the fast growing town of Charish in the Haifa district. Leading Sefardi rabbonim including Rav Shimon Ba’adani of the Shas Moetzes and Rav David Abuchatzeira now plan to help grow the town by subsidizing hundreds of rentals in vacant apartments.

With the help of donations from overseas, bnei Torah will be able to rent apartments there for a 1,000 shekels monthly instead of 2,500 shekels.
