Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to deliver an address alongside visiting US President Donald Trump on Masada next week, but the White House has reservations about the proposal, the Hebrew news site Walla reported on Monday.

Netanyahu, according to the report, has asked to give a speech of five to seven minutes in length standing next to Trump. The White House, the report continued, has not made a final decision on the matter, so — as of now — the prime minister will only say a few words of introduction before Trump speaks.

Overall, Trump will be in Israel for 26 hours on May 22-23 — the second stop, following Saudi Arabia, on his first overseas trip as president.

While in Jerusalem, Trump is expected to visit the Western Wall and Yad Vashem and hold meetings with Netanyahu and President Reuven Rivlin. Trump will also be the guest of honor at a dinner hosted by Netanyahu and his wife Sara.

The Masada speech will take place on the second day of Trump’s visit to Israel. Later that day, he will travel to Bethlehem and meet with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

As reported in The Algemeiner, Israeli police will conduct a massive security operation — involving 10,000 officers — to protect Trump during his time in the Jewish state.
