The Obama administration, along with other world powers, reportedly agreed to secret exemptions that “favor Iran” after the parties’ 2015 nuclear pact, according to Reuters.

The other negotiating partners were Russia, China, France, Britain, and Germany.

The report’s author, former UN weapons inspector David Albright, contends that he gathered information based on unnamed officials from those nations. When questioned by Reuters reporters, U.S. officials say no such secret arrangements were made. The report will be released today by the Institute for Science and International Security. “The exemptions or loopholes are happening in secret, and it appears that they favor Iran,” Albright said. According to Albright, the allowances were made so that an economic deadline could be met for Iran. Read more.
