Report: U.S. Officials Aware of CIA Breach Since 2016

Federal intelligence and law enforcement officials reportedly knew in 2016 that there had been a security breach at the CIA, which this week led WikiLeaks to publish genuine CIA documents online, Reuters reported on Wednesday. WikiLeaks on Tuesday published 8,000 pages of internal CIA documents about the agency’s hacking techniques.

Investigators conducting a review of the leak are currently looking into the possibility that an employee or contractor for the agency was the source of the hacked materials. Read more.
