Report: Yerushalayim Poisoning Suspect Still Works as Exterminator

avigayil-and-yael-grossAn undercover investigation aired on Israel’s Channel Two appears to show that the suspect in the tragic Yerushalayim family poisoning, which left two infant girls dead and their brothers fighting for life, is still working as a pest exterminator.

The suspect, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of having left an illegal, highly-toxic agent in the home of the Gross family, after completing an assignment there. He had stored the poison in the apartment’s enclosed security room – also known as the “Mamad” or bomb shelter, which exist in most Israeli homes – but the security room’s seal was less effective than the storage requirements for the chemical require, and the poison spread throughout the apartment over several days. 1. this is a certified licensed job and only those with a license are allowed to buy transport and handle these very dangerous and poisonous chemicals

while i do not want this worker to go without any job
there is not job shortage in israel and sadly with the loss of life he has proven himself UN-CERTIFIABLE in his currant position

  2. Why would you be more harsh than the family. They have repeatedly said that no one should talk L”H about him as it was a mistake. Why bring kitrug on the world for senseless L”H

  3. At, specifically in Comment #16, I noted that if the exterminator had done something that was negligent, then he may have some liability for what happened here. I immediately qualified that statement though, with pointing out that, of course, a qualified appropriate Bes Din are the ones who will have to make that determination. Now, from what is related here, it does look like he had done some pretty serious negligence, and, at least the secular government is prosecuting him for it. Again though, a proper Beis Din is needed to correctly determine Al Pi Torah what his liability is.

At the same time though, in that long comment and the following one, I empathetically stressed, that whatever level of liability the exterminator has, HE IS NOT THE VILLAIN OF THIS PICTURE!!

Instead, I explained at length that the villain here is the entire insecticide &exterminating industry. For they created this whole intensive virtual “culture” of spraying for bugs, and they sound off endless lies and deceptions about the safety of these excessively dangerous deadly synthetic chemicals. So they are the ones here whom we need to really “throw the book at” with the fullest punishment for their wicked crimes.
