“I really think that that’s another instance of public opinion [that’s] changed. And recognize that the distinction between marijuana and alcoholic beverages is really not much of a distinction,” Stevens said Thursday in an interview with NPR.

He added that the general consensus on prohibition is that it “was not worth the cost.”

“And I think really in time that will be the general consensus with respect to this particular drug,” Stevens said.

  1. I agree, I would encourage everyone in the crooked Justice system of America, to take some every day! Hopefully, it will help them get things straight.

  2. The criminalization of vice always leads to organized crime and government corruption. Americans learned this the hard way under prohibition. The only sane way to deal with vice is to have it legal but regulated. That is what happened to alcohol and gambling.
