rick-perryTexas Governor Rick Perry has no regrets. That’s what he told a crowd on Tuesday when he was booked for two counts, one for abusing official capacity and another for coersion of a public servant, after vetoing state funding for a public integrity unit.

Calling the indictment “a chilling restraint on the right of free speech,” he defended his actions before entering the Blackwell-Thurman Criminal Justice Center in Austin. “I’m going to enter this courthouse with my head held high knowing that the actions I took were not only lawful and legal but right,” Perry said. “If I had to do so, I would veto funding for the public integrity unit again.” Read more at the Texas Tribune.

  1. the person who indidted him was the one whom perry vetoed the funding to her office, due to the fact he felt she was not suitable for the job as she was arrested for dui, innapropriate behavior (and open bottle of vodka in front seat), riding the wrong way down a street, veering into bicycle lanes….

  2. Have you noticed the people in charge now, our socialistic, communistic party are after the, if after all the maybe candidates for presidency for the year 2016. I would bet there will be times where they will set up something to prove dishonesty or set up lies so they can keep on working the system to throw another election. Obama would have won the 2 elections if no one went to vote.
