ROCKET GAZAThe Red Colour warning system was sounded Monday evening in the area of the Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council, after a rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip towards Israeli territory. The rocket exploded in an open area in the Sdot Negev Regional Council and no injury or damage were caused. No terror organization has taken responsibility for the shooting thus far.

A preliminary examination of the incident found that the Red Colour warning system was activated out of fear that the rocket would land near one of the regional councils that border the Gaza Strip.

MK Chaim Yellin from the Yesh Atid party, formerly Head of the Eshkol Regional Council, attacked Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu following the shooting.

“For the Prime Minister of Israel, the situation is normal and the daily routine can continue,” he claimed. “Netanyahu has replaced the Iranian threat with the threat of a sword and knife. As long as he can continue to rule under a regime of fear and incitement.”

“Netanyahu continues to be dragged and to trample the country’s honor,” Yellin continued his attack. “Even the dunes in Gaza already know that there will be no response.” Yellin concluded his words by directly addressing the Prime Minister: “I invite you to come with your family for one evening of sirens. Get off the Olympus! Come down to the people! You have abandoned the Gaza Envelope, divided Jerusalem and neglected the border communities. The role of a leader is to lead, to act out of courage and to reach decisions, even if they are difficult ones.”

A week ago, Red Color sirens were sounded in Gaza Envelope towns. A short while later it was reported that a rocket had landed in an open area near the Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council. No injuries or damage were reported.
