Residents of the Golan Heights heard sirens this evening, at around 10:00 p.m. Israel time, Arutz Sheva reports.
One rocket exploded in an open region in the northern Golan, causing no physical injuries or damages. The rocket is believed to a spillover from the civil war in neighboring Syria.
In recent days rebels, among them Al-Qaeda’s Syrian branch the Al-Nusra Front, have been involved in fierce clashes with pro-regime forces for control of the Quneitra area bordering Israel. This has resulted in increased incidents of spillover into Israel.
