Senate candidate and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney on Sunday night denounced the pastor expected to speak at Monday’s ceremony celebrating the opening of the new U.S. embassy in Yerushalayim.

“Robert Jeffress says ‘you can’t be saved by being a Jew,’ and ‘Mormonism is a heresy from the pit of hell.’ He’s said the same about Islam. Such a religious bigot should not be giving the prayer that opens the United States Embassy in Jerusalem,” Romney tweeted.

  1. Romney is 100% right. The Avi avos hatumah should NOT be leading a prayer at the opening of the US embassy in the holiest JEWISH city.

  2. This blather is coming from a Mormon whose religion is notorious for proselytizing and trying to lure people from other faiths to their team and for baptizing Yidden posthumously so they can be “saved”. Seems to me they’re on the same page.
