karl-roveThe Karl Rove-Sarah Palin throwdown has entered a brutal Round 3. The architect of George W. Bush’s presidential campaigns lashed out at the possible Republican presidential candidate Wednesday night, insisting Palin has “enormous thin skin,” and called on her to simply announce if she’s running if she doesn’t like speculation about it.Rove’s blistering remarks come after he speculated Sunday that Palin will run for the Oval Office in the 2012 election.

A day later, the former Alaska governor’s political action committee, SarahPAC, put out a statement blasting an unnamed pundit (presumably Rove), insisting he’s out to get her.

“Any professional pundit claiming to have ‘inside information’ regarding Gov. Palin’s personal decision is not only wrong but their comments are specifically intended to mislead the American public,” it read.

Rove hit back on the Fox News on Wednesday.

“Look, \[Palin\] is all upset about this, saying I’m somehow trying to sabotage her campaign, sabotage her in some way and that how dare I speculate on her future,” he told host Greta Van Susteren.

“Look, if she doesn’t want to be speculated about as a potential presidential candidate, there’s an easy way to end the speculation. Simply say, ‘I’m not running.'”

He added that her schedule, which included a visit this month to the early voting state of Iowa before the Ames Straw Poll and an upcoming Tea Party rally in the Hawkeye State on Sept. 3 – leads him to believe “she’s more likely to be a candidate at some point.”

He then slammed her for her attention-seeking tactics.

“It is a sign of enormous thin skin that if we speculate about her she gets upset, and I suspect if we didn’t speculate about her, she’d be upset and try and find a way to get us to speculate about her.”
Rove offered up some advice for Palin.

“I would just recommend she might get a slightly thicker skin because if she’s got this thin a skin now … how’s she going to react if she does get into the campaign and gets the scrutiny that every presidential candidate does get? I mean, that’s not going to be a pretty sight.”

  1. Of course, Rove will say anything negative about her, as she is a real conservative and he is the republican establishment – RINO.
