Sen. Bernie Sanders on Sunday defended the Democratic-led efforts to oppose a Republican government funding bill as morally the right action to take.

“I think from a moral perspective it was the right thing to do. And that is to say to these 800,000 young people, we are not going to allow them to be subjected to deportation,” Sanders told CBS News’s Nancy Cordes on “Face the Nation.”

The government shut down for three days earlier this month after Democrats voted against a short-term funding measure because it did not include a fix for recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

  1. I just can’t see this old hag being President. He definitely doesn’t look Presidential. He is clearly lacking gravitas. He would never garner any respect when meeting with other world leaders.

  2. Bernie knows something about morals? That’s amazing. Perhaps he could share his thoughts, when he becomes the President in 7 years, unless, of course, by then, he will have lost his mind totally.

  3. Now you see for yourself why you lost. You just don’t have the “DNA for it” like Oprah Winfrey said about herself.

For the record Mr. Sanders, your illegal President Obama admitted that DACA is unconstitutional.
