palin1Sarah Palin added her opinion to the contentious debate over a proposed mosque near Ground Zero. The former Alaska governor took to Twitter asking “peaceful” New Yorkers and “peace-seeking” Muslims tooppose the construction.

In one tweet, Palin says the “Ground Zero mosque is UNNECESSARY provocation; it stabs hearts. Pls reject it in interest of healing.” In a separate tweet, Palin urged people to “refute the…mosque plan if [they] believe catastrophic pain caused at the Twin Towers site is too raw, too real.”

Palin’s use of “refudiate” — which is not a word — also raised eyebrows. The term quickly drew comparisons to the use of non-words by President Bush — who famously used “misunderestimate” and President Obama — who coined the term “wee-wee’d up.” Palin later removed the tweet.

Mayor Bloomberg also weighed in and told 1010 WINS senior correspondent that while Palin has a right to her opinion, he “could not disagree with her more.”

  1. Ms. Palin, go home and prepare for your daughters wedding. You had your chance. Bloomberg, just go away & leave our freedoms alone. Get out of our face.

  2. Pailin is right on this issue, and not bloomberg, and this plan of the muslim (which happens to be part of a muslim extremist element) with regards to building a mosque at ground zero is just so natural
for them they lack hakuras hatov for anything, because thats their nature, and they defy even the laws of decency, why would a muslim seeking to live in a foreign country want to be so in your face regarding a mosque on this most sensitive place, they simply have nothing in comman with your average human being.
